The House of Hungarian Art Nouveau is a literally unique museum in Hungary. Its purpose is to reproduce the atmosphere of the peaceful and picturesque times before the turn of the century, a time and an air so easily captured by the Art-Nouveau style used in producing both applied art and fine art works.

Sundry cultural events and temporary exhibitions are occasionally hosted by the building where the permanent exhibitions of the House of Hungarian Art Nouveau are displayed. The furniture collections, the porcelain collection as well as the three painting collections are the highlights of the edifice. However, visitors might just as well check out the coffee shop located within the precinct of the museum.
