Hungary and Budapest have a temperate, transitional climate. The region of Transdanubia has a mild climate, predominantly rainy weather, while the area of the Great Plain exhibits a variable climate.
The maximum average temperatures during the summer period are between 25 degrees Celsius in June and 27 in July and August. Winter months average maximums are in between 2 degrees in January and 5 degrees in February.
Budapest receives the largest amount of precipitations in November, May and June.
