The Liszt Ferenc Memorial Museum was set up in the honor of this great Hungarian composer and pianist, otherwise known as Franz Liszt. Given the impact of the work, activity and heritage of Liszt Ferenc, founding a memorial museum in his honor was just a matter of course.

The memorial museum is located in the old Academy of Music of Budapest, on the first floor of the building, in Liszt’s last apartment. The building is also home to the Liszt Research Center.

Visitors can see here some of the personal effects of the composer, furniture and instruments. They can also see the books owned by Liszt, as well as a further range of exhibits related to the life and work of the artist.
